Recommended dilutions
ICC/IF: 1/200.
IHC-P: 1/50 - 1/250. An unmasking protocol should be used prior to incubation with ab39347 to improve antigen detection.
WB: 1/250 - 1/750. Detects a band of approximately 78 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 78 kDa).
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

The enzyme 5 Lipoxygenase (5 LO) plays a key role in regulating the production of leukotrienes (LTs). Overproduction of LTs contributes to several diseases, most notably chronic inflammatory diseases, including asthma, fibrosis and atherosclerosis. Recent work has demonstrated that the activity of 5 LO is regulated by PKA phosphorylation of serine 523 in 5 LO. Under normal conditions, this phosphorylation may be important in limiting inflammation. Abnormal signaling through cAMP and PKA, then, could contribute to a variety of diseases, including those characterized by chronic inflammation.
