Anti-6X His tag® antibody - ChIP Grade (ab9108)

I am very interested in your anti-his antibodies (ab9108, ab18184, ab5000).
However, I was wondering if you could tell me the dissociation constants
of these antibodies to their eppitopes (of any of the ones mentioned
above). It is necessary for me to know for my research.

i read in the description of one of your anti-6xHIS tag antibodies
(ab9108) that it was generated using an 6xHistagged version of bovine
seruml albumine (HHHHHH-BSA). I quote: "ELISA: Antibody specificity was
verified by ELISA against peptide conjugated to BSA (HHHHHH-BSA)".
My question to you is: do you sell this his-tagged BSA as well?

Unfortunately we do not have a His tagged BSA in our catalog. I checked also with the laboratory producing the ab9108, howeverthey can not offer HIS-tagged BSA for sale neither, as it's just a component withintheir QC procedures.

This is probabaly a rather strange question, but I will ask anyway. I have used an old batch of your rabbit polyclonal to 6x His tag (#ab9108-100) lot:xx and I have no clue of how old the antibody is. Could you provide that information, please?

I am pleased the customer is interested in our testing discount. However, in this case I have some concerns about whether this experiment would work.

Sandwich ELISA procedures can be difficult to optimise as you need to ensure the antibodies are detecting different epitopes on the target protein so they do not interfere with the other antibody binding. The 6 X His tag epitope is small. Once this is bound to the capture antibody, it is unlikely the detection antibody would also be able to bind to as well, due to steric hindrance. If there is any detectable signal, then I am not sure how accurate this would be if they want to quantify.

Therefore, I am sorry we feel a testing discount would not be appropriate in this case. Both the antibodies are tested and guaranteed in indirect ELISA, if the customer would like to try this.
