Question 1

Thursday 18-April-2002

What dilution do you recommend with this antibody? Anything less than 1:10,000 gives us bad backgrounds (use nonfat dry milk as blocker). Furthermore at this dilution, the bands are very faint and we can see them in only the clones which produce very high levels of recombinant protein.

We also use you rabbit anti chiken-horseradish peroxidase as the second antibody at the same dilution.

Siegfried Detke

ANSWER:

I would recommend using the antibody at 1:1000 (1 µg/ml) dilution in Westerns.
