Flow Cyt: 1/10000 - 1/60000.
WB: 1/2000 - 1/8000. Detects a band of approximately 240 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 234 kDa).
This product is known to aggregate. Do not boil samples. Use a reducing buffer: 2X sample buffer): 8M Urea, 2% SDS, 715 mM BME, 1% glycerol, 0.001% Bromophenol Blue, 125 mM Tris-HCl [pH 6.8].

Is unsuitable for ELISA.

PLEASE NOTE that this product was tested using recombinant protein only.

Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Relevance 

ATP-binding cassette (ABC)1 transporters are a superfamily of highly conserved membrane proteins that transport a wide variety of substrates including ions, amino acids, peptides, sugars, lipids, and sterols across cell membranes.

ABCA7 is a full-size ABC transporter, the physiological function of which is unclear. This is a protein that shows the highest homology known to ABCA1, an essential molecule for producing of plasma high-density lipoprotein (HDL), and in fact it mimics ABCA1 to mediate the production of HDL from cellular lipid when transfected in vitro. ABCA7 might play a relevant role in regulating lipid metabolism.

Mutations of ABC transporters have been identified as the cause of at lease 12 different genetic disorders.
