ABCF1 is a member of the GCN20 subfamily of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) protein family and associates with eIF2 and ribosomes to facilitate mRNA translation [RGD]. This protein, however, lacks the transmembrane domains which are characteristic of most ABC transporters.

Detection of human ABCF1 in Immunoprecipitates of whole cell lysate from HeLa cells (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) using ab86223 at 3 µg/mg lysate for IP, and at 1 µg/ml for subsequent Western blot.
Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 1 second.
