All lanes : Anti-ADAM1 antibody - Propeptide domain (ab65876) at 1/5000 dilution
Lane 1 : mouse epididymis lysate at 15 µl
Lane 2 : mouse epididymis lysate at 10 µl
Lane 3 : mouse epididymis lysate at 5 µl
Lane 4 : mouse testicle lysate at 15 µl
Lane 5 : mouse testicle lysate at 10 µl
Lane 6 : mouse testicle lysate at 5 µl
Predicted band size : 87 kDa
Observed band size : 100,120 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
Additional bands at : 48 kDa,63 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.
ADAM1 alpha is reported at 100 kDa on SDS PAGE gels and is processed to a 48 kDa form. ADAM1 beta is seen as a 120 kDa precursor and is processed to a 63-60 kDa form.
