Question 1

Friday 11-May-2012

I am using peptide ab41204 as a blocking peptide to blockab39155. The western blot produces lots of non specific bands, although I do see a band that looks about the correct size of the short form. The data is similar to data produced using 2 separate antibodies to ADAM12. However using the blocking peptide produces no reduction in any of the bands on my blot. It seems like it might be an issue with the blocking peptide. The lot for the peptide is 275185. Might there be any peptide from a new lot or could a new synthesis be done of this peptide?

ANSWER:

I am working on sourcing a new vial of peptide for you. I will follow up with you as soon as I know when it will be available.

Thanks for your patience!
