The datasheet states that this antibody cross-reacts with mouse tissue. Could you please let us know in which mouse cell types this antibody was tested for Western blot application.

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry. The anti-TACE antibody has been tested in mouse lung, brain, liver, kidney, spleen, and 3T3 cells.

Question 2

Monday 09-September-2002

Is there any cross-reactivity known for this antibody to other species than human, or is there none to be expected?

ANSWER:

This antibody cross-reacts with mouse and rat. Other species have not been tested.

Question 3

Wednesday 12-June-2002

Has this antibody now been tested in immunoprecipitations of TACE?

ANSWER:

To the best of our knowledge, this antibody has never been tested in immunoprecipitation, therefore we can't guarantee results.

Question 4

Thursday 26-July-2001

Hello

I have a question about TACE Ab.

Particularly what is the immunogen used? I want to buy some if you can tell me more about the specificity.

Thank you

mathi

ANSWER:

Here is some information regarding our Tace antibody. You may look at our website www.prosci-inc.com if you need more information. If this does not help, please call me at 858-513-2638. Thank you- Steve Reed/ProSci Inc.

SOURCE: Rabbit anti-TACE (CT) polyclonal antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to amino acids 807 to 823 of human TACE (1,2). This sequence differs from those of mouse and rat TACE by one amino acid (3).

APPLICATION: This polyclonal antibody can be used for detection of TACE by Western blot at 1:500 to 1:2000 dilution. HeLa or Jurkat whole cell lysate can be used as positive control and 80 to 130 kDa bands can be detected, which may represent mature protein, precursor, and glycosylated TACE. It is human, mouse, and rat reactive. For research use only.

Question 5

Tuesday 06-February-2001

Can you give me information whether the antibody can be used for capture in an ELISA-like format, and for immunoprecipitation?

Thanks

ANSWER:

It has not been tested for immunoprecipitation but it should work for ELISA.
