    In the assay I used A FRET substrate to test the activity of ADAMTS-4. I also used ADAMTS-4 from our previous vendor as a positive control.

    The positive control gave S/B ratio:34 while the one purchased from Abcam didn’t have any signal.



    Your results seem to indicate then that the protein might not be suitable for functional studies. It could also be that the tag interferes with the functionality of the protein.

    Review text: In our lab, we used ADAMTS-4 for activity assay in FRET assay format.
    There was no fluorescence from this positive control using ADAMTS-4(10ng/well).
