Relevance
|
AHRR contains 1 basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. It represses signal transduction by the arylhydrocarbon receptor by competing with the arylhydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator for binding to the arylhydrocarbon receptor. This interaction is part of a negative feedback regulatory mechanism. AHRR is involved in the teratogenic effects of dioxin. In addition, the encoded protein can bind to nuclear factor kappa B.
