Recommended dilutions IM: Use at an assay dependent dilution. WB: 1/500. Ab15893 strongly labels bands at 32 and 42 kDa corresponding to AMCR I and II variants.
Does not work well with IHC.
Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
AMARC has been recently described as prostate cancer-specific gene that encodes a protein involved in the beta-oxidation of branched chain fatty acids. Expression of AMARC protein is found in prostatic adenocarcinoma but not in benign prostatic tissue. It stains premalignant lesions of prostate: high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) and atypical adenomatous hyperplasia.
