Anti-AMPK alpha 1 antibody (ab3759)

Inquiry: Dear Abcam, My question is about the specificity of AMPK alpha1 antibody (2B7, catalog no: ab110036). Is there any evidence (ie. Western) whether this antibody does or does not cross-react with AMPK alpha2? Thank you.

Unfortunately, we have not tested this antibody for cross reactivity with AMPK alpha 2 and are unsure whether it will cross react with this protein as we do not have any data for support.

We do offer two other products against AMPK alpha 2 which may satisfy your requirement however. According to the information available to us and on the datasheet, Ab3759 does not react withAMPK alpha 2 (http://www.abcam.com/AMPK-alpha-1-antibody-ab3759.html).

Ab31958 has not been tested for cross reactivity however a BLAST of the immunogen sequence did not reveal appropriate homology with AMPK alpha 1 to suggest cross reactivity (http://www.abcam.com/AMPK-alpha-1-antibody-ab31958.html).
