The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Use a concentration of 0.01 - 0.03 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 45 kDa.
Use a concentration of 5 µg/ml. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
RelevanceAPOA4 (apolipoprotein A-IV) is a component of HDL and chylomicrons. Its primary site of synthesis is the intestine, in association with lymph chylomicron particles. Although its precise function is not known, APOA4 is a potent activator of lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) in vitro. In rodents, Apo A-IV inhibits gastric emptying and serves as a satiety factor whose synthesis and secretion are increased by the ingestion of dietary fat. It also possesses anti-inflammatory and antiatherogenic properties
ab115308 at 5ug/ml staining APOA4 in Human small intestine tissue by immunohistochemistry (FFPE). Slides were subject to heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with ab115308 slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
