I'm interested in purchasing your ATAD2 antibody (ab68019), however the blot shown on your webpage shows ATAD2 at 50kDa, when it is actually at ~150kDa. Is this actually an antibody against ATAD2?

This antibody was raised against AAH19909.1 which is a human ATAD2 sequence with an alternative initiation and therefore a lower molecular weight (~40kDa). The WB image was generated using 293T cells transfected with AAH19909.1, which is why the band appears around 45 kDa.

This sequence is 100% homologous to amino acids 1029-1390 of the 158 kDa human ATAD2. We would guarantee this antibody to detect that protein if it is expressed in your samples.
