We are interested in purchasing an ATM antibody. We have found several antibodies in your website. ab2618 ATM antibody [5C2] Mouse Monoclonal ab78 ATM antibody [2C1 (1A1)] Mouse Monoclonal they both can be used for WB. We want to use extracts from lymphocytes; could you recommend one of these (or another) for us. Do you know if it better to make nuclear extracts, or total extracts are fine? What about ab2887 ATM antibody Rabbit Polyclonal Fast Track? Is this better than the other ones? We are registered users. If there is no problem we will send you a pdf file which contains the PON from our institution so that you can send a pro-forma invoice so we can start managing the payment from our institution. thanks, |

ANSWER: |
Thank you for your enquiry. ab78 and ab2618 are both excellent antisera that have both had favourable reviews by western blotting. There is very little to choose between them. I would say that ab78 has been shown to work by immunoprecipitation, which you may consider a valuable application and therefore an advantage over ab2618. ab2887 is a fast track antibody and therefore not guaranteed to work by western blotting and therefore I would not advise it given the alternatives available. Please send your order information to orders@abcam.com. I hope this information helps. |
