It is characterized by excessive water drinking (polydypsia), excessive urine excretion (polyuria), persistent hypotonic urine, and hypokalemia. Inheritance can be autosomal dominant or recessive.

Anti-Aquaporin 2 antibody - C-terminal images

  • ab85876 staining Aquaporin 2 - C-terminal in Rat kidney tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P - paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue was fixed with 10% NBF and blocked with 25% serum free protein block for 5 minutes at 25°C; antigen retrieval was by heat mediation with a Tris/EDTA (pH 9.0) buffer. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/5000 in serum free antibody diluent) for 30 minutes. An undiluted HRP-conjugated Goat anti-rabbit IgG polyclonal was used as the secondary antibody.

  • ICC/IF image of ab85876 stained HepG2 cells. The cells were 100% methanol fixed (5 min) and then incubated in 1%BSA / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h to permeabilise the cells and block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab85876, neat) overnight at +4°C. The secondary antibody (green) was ab96899, DyLight® 488 goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) used at a 1/250 dilution for 1h. Alexa Fluor® 594 WGA was used to label plasma membranes (red) at a 1/200 dilution for 1h. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue) at a concentration of 1.43µM.
