The customer is getting no staining in FACS using a dilution range of 0.5-5ulg/ml, incubating at 37C for 30mins. She does not use permeabilising agents as the protein is a cell surface protein.

I'm very sorry for the delay in finding out the protocol for FACS analysis; I have just received the following information from the source of ab16082:

Method: HEK 293T cells (5 x 10e5) were mock transfected (thin line) or transfected with an expression plasmid enabling surface expression of full length hBAFF (thick line). Cells were incubated on ice for 30 min in 50 µl FACS buffer (PBS, 5% Fetal calf serum, 0.02% azide) containing 1µg/ml of ab16082 antibody. After washing cells were then analyzed by flow cytometry.

BAFF can be detected at the membrane of cell lines such as Ramos BL cell and HL60 AML cells.
