Thank you for contacting us. ab3380; The ABCG2 target is expressed in tonsils, spleen, gall bladder and lungs etc so the sections of these tissues will be good positive control. You can find the complete expression information on Human Protein Atlas website; http://www.proteinatlas.org/ENSG00000118777/normal ab4372; ab87930 are spleen tissue slides ab4349 is human lung tissue slide ab105920; normal liver sections can be used; this target is expressed in normal liver. http://www.proteinatlas.org/ENSG00000165092/normal ab4348 is normal liver tissue slide. M7802; this does not seems to be Abcam product however CD44 is highly expressed in spleen, tonsils etc so the tissue sections of these will be a good positive control. http://www.proteinatlas.org/ENSG00000026508/normal I hope this information is helpful to you. My customer ordered the product Cat: #ab3380. There was not any staining in IHC-P. So she doubted that her material was not positive. But I was so sorry to say that she could not find any positive control. Now, she needs your help of affording a positive control. Could you satisfy my customer'need? If not, could you give a suggestion what positive control is? Looking forward to your reply. |

Thank you for your enquiry. Regarding ab3380 (BCRP/ABCG2 antibody [BXP-21] - Hematopoietic/Neural Stem Cell Marker), I suggest viewing the references that are provided in the datasheet particularly: Maliepaard M et al. Subcellular localization and distribution of the breast cancer resistance protein transporter in normal human tissues. Cancer Res 61:3458-64 (2001). PubMed: 11309308 Please note that Figure 5 should provide the information that the customer is searching for. I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to contact us again if you have further questions. |

I was wondering how I might be able to get the protein or DNA sequence of the ABCG2 antibody. Also, a friend of mine is looking for an antibody against murine ABCG2. Does this antibody exist?
|
|||||||||
ANSWER: |
Thank you for your enquiry. If you are looking for the sequence of the immunogen used to create this antibody, it is a fusion protein, corresponding to amino acids 271-396 of BCRP/ABCG2. We do not know the protein or DNA sequence of the ABCG2 antibody itself. For antibodies against murine ABCG2, we offer ab24114 and ab24115. I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have additional questions. |

Please note: All products are "FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY AND ARE NOT INTENDED FOR DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC USE"
ab3380 staining BCRP/ABCG2 in MCF7 human breast cancer cells by Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence.Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde and permeabilized using 0.1% Triton X-100. Samples were then blocked using 10% serum for 2 hours at 25°C, then incubated with ab3380 at a 1/50 dilution for 12 hours at 4°C. A rabbit anti-mouse polyclonal conjugated to Alexa Fluor 594 was used as the secondary at a 1/50 dilution.
