ELISA titre using peptide based assay was 1: 1562500
ICC/IF: Use at a concentration of 1 - 5 µg/ml.

WB: Use at a concentration of 1.25 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 49 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 49 kDa).

Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7 (BMP7), also known as osteogenic protein 1 (OP1), is produced from a DNA sequence encoding the human BMP2 signal peptide and human BMP2 propeptide (amino acid residues 1 to 282) fused to the human BMP7 mature subunit (amino acid residues 293 to 431). Mature human BMP7, generated after the proteolytic removal of the signal peptide and the propeptide, is a disulfide linked homodimeric protein, comprised of two 139 amino acid residue subunits. Bone Morphogenetic Proteins (BMP) are members of the TGF beta superfamily of cytokines that affect bone and cartilage formation. Similar to other TGF beta family proteins, BMPs are highly conserved across animal species.

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence-BMP7 antibody(ab56023)
ICC/IF image of ab56023 stained HeLa cells. The cells were 4% PFA fixed (10 min) and then incubated in 1%BSA / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h to permeabilise the cells and block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab56023, 1µg/ml) overnight at +4°C. The secondary antibody (green) was Alexa Fluor® 488 goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) used at a 1/1000 dilution for 1h. Alexa Fluor® 594 WGA was used to label plasma membranes (red) at a 1/200 dilution for 1h. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue) at a concentration of 1.43µM.
