ab106159 detects the minimal peptide substrate (GLNDIFEAQKIEWH) of biotin ligase (BirA): E. coli biotin ligase tag (BLT) and biotin acceptor peptide (BAP). The antibody will recognize these tags irrespective of whether the tag is biotinylated.
Western blot analysis of Bacillus subtilis strains producing either BAP-tagged SPoIIIAH or BAP-tagged SPoIIQ showed strong and specific reactivity to the antisera. -
