Dear technical support: This customer raised an enquiry about ab79827 (Anti-Bovine Serum Albumin antibody [1C12]) and ab3781 (Anti-Bovine Serum Albumin antibody [BSA-7G10]) He would likes to know the concentration and storage buffer of these antibodies. Could you please help this customer to solve these problems? Thanks for your kindly assistance. |
|||||||||
ANSWER: |
Thank you for contacting us. These two anti-BSA antibodies are provided as ascites. Monoclonal antibodies can be produced by growing hybridoma cells within the peritoneal cavity of a mouse. When injected into a mouse, the hybridoma cells multiply and produce fluid (ascites) in its abdomen. This fluid contains a high concentration of antibody which can be harvested. This usually provides higher antibody yields than hybridoma cell culture. Unfortunately, the concentration of the specific antibody cannot be determined as there are many proteins present in ascites. Furthermore, these antibodies are not further purified from the fluid harvested and thus no particular storage buffer is added. I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information. |

I am using your product ab19195 and ab3781.I am going to see the antibody (ab3781) load on to a nanofibre film. I have done ELISA but here i am going to use A 1cm*1cm nanofer film instead of ELISA plate, so would please help me how I can do this and measure the color change after adding substrate?is there any toll free no I can contact you?please let me know. |

ANSWER: |
Thank you for contacting us. Feel free to call us any time between 8am and 8pm EST at 888-77-ABCAM.
I am not sure what you mean by detecting the antibody on a nanofiber film. Is this film a matrix for growing cells? If so, you could use an ICC staining protocol such as the one linked below:
http://www.abcam.com/index.html?pageconfig=resource&rid=11417
Alternatively, is the nanofiber film similar to a WB membrane? In that case, you could use a Dot Blot protocol:

I hope this helps, please let me know if you need any additional information. |

I am interested in a monoclonal antibody for BSA, I would like to know if you could provide the epitope to which BSA is binding, if we purchase this antibody (ab3781). |
|||||||||
ANSWER: |
Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately, epitope mapping was not done on this product, therefore we do not have any information on the exact epitope binding region. I am sorry I can't be of more assistance in this occasion but if there is anything else that I can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact me. |
