I'm currently interested in buying from Abcam human brain lysates samples to check protein expression levels by WB. However, before ordering I would like to know whether in the membrane fraction samples post synaptic density proteins/ cytoskeletal associated proteins are retained or lost during preparation. Moreover, it would be extremely useful if you could have few more details on the brain region from which you derived your total lysate samples (Ab2946, ab29466, ab29457, ab29467). thank you for your precious help |

Thank you for contacting us. The lab sourcing the lysates informed me that they never measured any post synaptice density proteins/ cytoskeletal associated proteins, but only a membrane protein marker Na/K ATPase in the membrane fractions, so they can not give the specific answers. They checked the current lot information for the other questions, please see the answers below : ab29456 : Brain (Human) Membrane Lysate - adult normal tissue: Temporal lobe ab29457 : Brain (Human) Membrane Lysate - fetal normal tissue: unknown, just a chunk of brain tissue, most likely a cortex ab29466 : Brain (Human) Tissue Lysate - adult normal tissue: Parietal lobe ab29467 : Brain (Human) Tissue Lysate - fetal normal tissue Parietal lobe I hope this information is helpful to you.
