Does this antibody recognize Edu?

ANSWER:

T
Thank you for your patience in this matter.

I have been trying to determine if any of our BrdU antibodies are only specific to BrdU or not and it seems that most of them have some sort of cross reactivity with either ErdU or IrdU.

I am sorry that I could not help you further in this matter, but please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Question 2

A customer has the following enquiry;

On the data sheet, it says that these two antibodies should be stored at -20'C which is what I have done. Interestingly ab1893 does not seem to freeze and is still in a liquid state. Is this normal? Will ab37385 freeze too?

ANSWER:

Thank you for contacting us.

We have checked the instock vials and can confirm that the liquid is frozen at -20C. You may need to check the freezer temperature because the antibody buffer should get frozen at -20C.

There is also no glycerol in storage buffer.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.

Does the antibody pick up free Brdu? Also, do you know how I can remove unincorporated Brdu...perhaps dialysis?

Thank you for your enquiry and your interest in our products.

The Brdu antibody should recognize both incorporated and free Brdu. The free Brdu should wash away in the experiment.
