General notes
ab23602 can be used for the identification of CD11c-positive cells using immunoperoxidase procedures. It can thus be used for the identification of monocytes and granylocytes using immunoperoxidase procedures. In addition it seems useful for identification of myelomonocytic and monocytic leukemias.
The Life Science industry has been in the grips of a reproducibility crisis for a number of years. Abcam is leading the way in addressing this with our range of recombinant monoclonal antibodies and knockout edited cell lines for gold-standard validation. Function
Integrin alpha-X/beta-2 is a receptor for fibrinogen. It recognizes the sequence G-P-R in fibrinogen. It mediates cell-cell interaction during inflammatory responses. It is especially important in monocyte adhesion and chemotaxis. -
Tissue specificity
Predominantly expressed in monocytes and granulocytes. -
Sequence similarities
Belongs to the integrin alpha chain family.
Contains 7 FG-GAP repeats.
Contains 1 VWFA domain. -
Domain
The integrin I-domain (insert) is a VWFA domain. Integrins with I-domains do not undergo protease cleavage. -
