Anti-CD18 antibody [CLB-LFA-1/1, 54] (FITC)
See all CD18 products (44) ...
Mouse monoclonal [CLB-LFA-1/1, 54] to CD18 (FITC)
FITC
The antibody is conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate isomer 1 (FITC). The molecular F/P ratio is between 5 and 10.
ab51573 is directed against the CD18 antigen (Lymphocyte Function-associated Antigen 1, integrin beta 2 chain), which is expressed on mature immunocompetent lymphocytes and their neoplastic counterparts, granulocytes and monocytes. It is absent in patients with LAD1.

Flow Cytometry - CD18 antibody [CLB-LFA-1/1, 54] (FITC) (ab51573)
Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab51573 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Flow Cyt: Use 10µl for 40µl of 107 cells/ml suspension or 20µl per 100µl whole blood.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Integrin alpha-L/beta-2 is a receptor for ICAM1, ICAM2, ICAM3 and ICAM4. Integrins alpha-M/beta-2 and alpha-X/beta-2 are receptors for the iC3b fragment of the third complement component and for fibrinogen. Integrin alpha-X/beta-2 recognizes the sequence G-P-R in fibrinogen alpha-chain. Integrin alpha-M/beta-2 recognizes P1 and P2 peptides of fibrinogen gamma chain. Integrin alpha-M/beta-2 is also a receptor for factor X. Integrin alpha-D/beta-2 is a receptor for ICAM3 and VCAM1.
Defects in ITGB2 are the cause of leukocyte adhesion deficiency type 1 (LAD1) [MIM:116920]. LAD1 patients have recurrent bacterial infections and their leukocytes are deficient in a wide range of adhesion-dependent functions.
Belongs to the integrin beta chain family.
Contains 1 VWFA domain.
Both Ser-745 and Ser-756 become phosphorylated when T-cells are exposed to phorbol esters. Phosphorylation on Thr-758 (but not on Ser-756) allows interaction with 14-3-3 proteins.
