FuncS: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Enzyme Activity: Unit Definition: One unit of enzyme consumes one nanomole of oxygen per minute at 37 °C in 0.1 M Tris-HCl buffer, pH 8, containing 100 µM arachidonate, 5 mM EDTA, and 2 mM phenol, and 1 µM hematin. This product has an apparent Km of 6.5 µM for arachidonate and exhibits enzyme activity and sensitivity to NSAIDs similar to the non-tagged enzyme.
SDS-PAGE: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
WB: Use at an assay dependent concentration. Ab58868 can be used as a WB positive control in conjunction with ab15191.
Other: Use at an assay dependent concentration. This product requires Fe3+-protoporphyrin IX as a cofactor - which may dissociate from the protein during its purification, resulting in a mixture of apo- and holoenzymes. Therefore, hematin is added to the reaction mixture in order to obtain maximal enzyme activity.
