Relevance
|
CTLA4 has a critical role in T cell differentiation and contributes to the maintenance of peripheral T cell tolerance to self antigens. It exerts its major effects on T cell immune responses via regulation of the cell cycle and may be involved in T cell activation. It binds to B7-1 (CD80) and B7-2 (CD86), and it contains one immunoglobulin-like V type domain. It is widely expressed, with highest levels in lymphoid tissues.

Flow Cytometry - CTLA4 antibody [1B8] (FITC) (ab24935)
CHO cells transfected with CTLA-4 were stained with
either hamster IgG FITC or ab24935 (3µg for 106 cells), following which large cells were gated and analyzed by flow cytometry.
