Recommended dilutions ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. ICC/IF: Use at an assay dependent dilution. IHC-P: Use at an assay dependent dilution. IHC-Fr: Use at an assay dependent dilution. IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. RIA: Use at a concentration of 3 - 5 µg/ml. WB: Use at a concentration of 0.1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 55 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 56 kDa).
Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Relevance
|
CaMKII (Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II) is a ubiquitous serine/threonine protein kinase that is abundant in the brain as a major constituent of the postsynaptic density (PSD). The enzyme is an oligomeric protein composed of distinct but related subunits, alpha, beta, gamma, and delta, each encoded by a separate gene. CAMK2A assembles into heterooligomeric complexes with other CAMK2 subunits. CaMKII is a prominent kinase in the central nervous system that may function in long term potentiation and neurotransmitter release.
