The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of ab8118. Itusually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot by incubating the peptide withequal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37°C

Has no protease activity. May reduce cytokine release in response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide during infections. Reduces activation of NF-kappa-B in response to TNF.
