Specificity

This antibody detects the pro form and the p11 subunit of human Caspase 6. We have data to indicate that this antibody may not cross react with Rat. However, this has not been conclusively tested and expression levels may vary in certain cell lines/tissues.

Involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. Cleaves poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase in vitro, as well as lamins. Overexpression promotes programmed cell death.
