Recommended dilutions
For western blotting:

Antigen: 2µg Cathepsin G
Antibody: 1:500
Secondary Antibody: 1:1000 Donkey a-Sheep/Goat immunoglobulins-peroxidase

Thefollowing dilutions should be used as guidelines for determining those appropriate for the users system.
Suitability for use in nephelometry, immunohistochemical procedures and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays has not been assessed but use insuch assays should not necessarily be excluded.

Relevance

Cathepsin G is a serine protease, it consisting of a single polypeptide with a molecular weight of 30 kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE. Its substrates are collagen and proteoglycans. Poor regulation of Cathepsin G levels has been associated with various connective tissue disorders, for example pulmonary emphysema and cystic fibrosis.
