I found that Abcam has an Anti-Constitutive androstane receptor antibody [N4111] (ab41857). Based on Abcam website, this antibody works for WB, IP, and ELISA. However, no picture of any application of this antibody is shown on the website. It would be appreciated if you could send me more information about the application of this antibody, particularly for IP.

Unfortunately, I do not have any images or references available but I have included the IP method below:


- cDNA transfected CHO on 10 cm dish used for cell lysate after 48 hours of transfection.
- Cells were harvested in IP buffer (20mM Tris-HCl(pH 7.4), 140mM KCl, 1% NP40).
- Lysate was centrifuged at 15,000rpm for 15 min at 4oC.
- Each 10 ug of control orAnti-Constitutive androstane receptorIgG was mixed with 45 ul of lysate.
- After 2 hours of incubation, reacted protein was immunoprecipitated with 20 ulof protein G, SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting was subjected as standard protocol.


It must be noted that whereas expression product by cDNA is easier to detect, endogenous product is tough to obtain.
