I have been using this antibody successfully in mouse oocytes. To publish the results obtained with this antibody I would need to know which domain of Cyclin A is recognized by this antibody. Do you have any information on the epitope recognized by the antibody? Thank you very much for your help Best wishes |

ANSWER: |
Thank you for your enquiry and your interest. The antibody you mentioned is a polyclonal antibody. Polyclonal antibodies consist of a mixed population of IgGs each of which will recognize a different epitope. Therefore, for polyclonal antibodies no epitope mapping experiments are carried out. I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any additional information or advice. |

Do yo have any idea whether this antibody will crossreact with Xenopus laevis cyclin A1? |
|||||||||
ANSWER: |
This antibody has only been tested on mammalian sources. It cross-reacts with rat and mouse. Presumably this molecule is so fundamental, that it is highly conserved in nature, but it hasn't been tested. |
