I was also looking at a similar product, Cytokeratin 5 antibody (ab24647) Only ab24647 is listed as having a recomended application of IHC and WB, while ab17130 only has IHC as a recomended application. I am looking to purchase a cytokeratin 5 antibody that I want to use for both applications. Can you tell me why one is appropriate for WB and the other isn't?

Thank you for your enquiry. Those antibodies have been tested by different sources in different methods, and therefore currently are only guaranteed to work in the applications tested. It was reported to us that ab24647 worked in IHC as well as WB, unfortunately as we couldn't find out what type of IHC was tested we decided not to add this information to the datasheet.
