Has this antibody been tested for application in IHC-formalin fixed paraffin embedded sections, frozen sections, or both? |

ANSWER: |
Thank you for your phone call. Ab14053 was originally tested for application in Western blotting. We then received feedback from a customer who successfully used the antibody in IF and FACS (to read his comments, just click on the reviews tab located on the online datasheet). However, it's not clear whether the antibody has been specifically tested in IHC and I so I have removed that application from the datasheet for the time-being. Once we receive more information, the datasheet will be updated accordingly. If you have any additional questions, please contact us again.

ab14053 at 1/100 dilution detecting Cytokeratin 8 from mouse ovary tissue sections by immunohistochemistry (paraffin-embedded sections). The antibody was incubated with the tissue for 16 hours and then detected using Alexa-Fluor® 647 goat anti-chicken antibody.

ab14053 staining adrenal gland tissue sections by IHC-FoFr. Sections were PFA fixed and blocked with 0.5% TNB for 30 minutes at 25°C. The primary antibody was diluted 1/250 and incubated with the sample for 18 hours at 4°C. An Alexa Fluor® 546 conjugated goat anti-chicken antibody, diluted 1/500, was used as the secondary. The image (taken at 80x) demonstrates glandular cells in the adrenal gland.
