I would like to know if this antibody might also work for mouse tissue since there is no other reactivity tested than pig. So, is there any homology between the epitope used to raise the antibody in the mouse protein? This answer would be very helpful for me.

ANSWER: |
Thank you for your enquiry. This antibody has been raised against the whole native D-amino acid oxidase protein. Unfortunately, to my knowledge there is no data on the epitope on the protein that it recognises. I have done a sequence alignment search on the whole protein for you. This has shown 76% homology between pig and mouse D-amino acid oxidase. I would recommend that a homology of over 85% is required before there is a good chance of antibody detection. We are also unable to guarantee our antibodies will work on a species if it has not yet been tested. I am sorry this is not better news for you. Please don't hesitate to get back to me if you have any more questions, I will be happy to help. With thanks.
