Applications

Show applications key

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab84384 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application notes

IHC-P: 1/100 - 1/500. Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.
Note: expected to work on frozen sections.

Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Target

Relevance

The DBC1 (Deleted in breast cancer 1) amino terminus binds directly to the estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) hormone-binding domain in a strict ligand-independent manner. It may function in the modulation of ERalpha expression and hormone-independent breast cancer cell survival. It is ubiquitously expressed in normal tissues. DBC1 promotes p53-mediated apoptosis through specific inhibition of SIRT1.
