Specificity

This antibody is specific for Dengue virus 1, 2, 3 and 4. The antigens were grown in mosquito cell lines containing fetal calf serum therefore some reactivity might be expected to antigens from these sources. The antiserum reacts with each of the dengue serotypes when tested by fluorescent antibody techniques using virus infected cells. It also reacts in dot blot and ELISA procedures. The antigens were grown in mosquito cell lines containing fetal calf serum therefore minor reactivity might be expected to antigens from these sources.
