Question 5

Monday 23-January-2012

Hello,

I would like to use an anti-GLAST antibody in in-cell western assays, to detect the human, rat or mouse GLAST.
Which of your antibodies would you recommend for such an application. ab416 or ab41751?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

********************************************

ANSWER:

Thank you for your inquiry.
I cannot recommend ab41751 since this antibody was not experimentally tested to work with rat and mouse yet and we therefore cannot guarantee this.
Both antibodies have not been tested in in-cell WB and are therefore not guaranteed for it.
But I can confirm that ab416 is tested and guaranteed for human, mouse and rat. It is also tested and guaranteed for WB and ICC, which according to my information is close to the in-cell WB procedure:
In-cell WB: "A quantitative immunofluorescent assay for simultaneous analysis of two different proteins in fixed cultured cells"
I hope this information is helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact me again with any further questions.
