Question 1

Friday 02-November-2007

I wanted to make sure that the abcam 10653 antibody (for EpoR) doesn't contain any gelatin or sodium azide preservative. I'm trying to use an amine coupling IP to IP some EpoR protein from cell lines. It involves reduction of the antibody to an amino gel/beads inside a spin cup. The protocol specifies that the antibody should not contain gelatin or sodium azide (I think this is because the reducing agent, sodium cyanoborohydride may react with either of these to produce less efficient or no coupling of the antibody to the spin column). Thanks for you help!

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry.

I have received confirmation from our laboratory that this product does not contain any gelatin or sodium azide preservative.

I hope this confirmation will help clear your concerns about this product. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
