In association with DPP4 is involved in the pericellular proteolysis of the extracellular matrix (ECM), the migration and invasion of endothelial cells into the ECM. May have a role in tissue remodeling during development and wound healing, and may contribute to invasiveness in malignant cancers.

Colocalized with DPP4 on endothelial cells of capillary-like microvessels but not large vessels within invasive breast ductal carcinoma.

ab53066 staining Fibroblast activation protein, alpha in Dog cancerous tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P - formaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue was fixed with formaldehyde and antigen retrieval was by heat mediation in Tris/EDTA (pH 9.0) buffer. Samples were incubated with undiluted primary antibody (1/100 in antibody diluent) for 30 minutes at 21°C. An undiluted HRP-conjugated Goat anti-rabbit IgG polyclonal was used as the secondary antibody.
