|
Recommended dilutions Western Blotting: use at a concentration of 1 - 2µg / ml for 2hrs at RT. Detects a band of approximately 250 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 250 kDa).
Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): use at a concentration of 1 - 2µg / ml for 30 min at RT(requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10 - 20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min).
Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions / concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Relevance
|
Filamin A, encoded by the FLNA gene, is a widely expressed protein that regulates reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton: it is involved in facilitating orthogonal branching of actin filaments, linking of actin filaments to membrane glycoproteins, securing various transmembrane proteins to the actin cytoskeleton and serving as a scaffold for a wide range of cytoplasmic signaling proteins.
Filamin functions as a crosslinking protein forming a flexible link between two actin filaments. It is composed of two identical polypeptide chains each joined to the other at one end, with an actin binding site at the other. It is present in human platelets, lymphocytes, fibroblasts and smooth muscle actin.
