I am interested in LOXL1 recombinant protein and found one similar product on your website, however I would like to clarify some details before placing the order, can you please provide me some help with it? Thank you. Here are the information I would like to find out regarding LOXL1 peptide (ab97928). On the product information page: Molecular weight 63.000kDa, Protein length 15 amino acids. It also mentioned that “This peptide can be used with studies using ab87748 (anti-LOXL1 antibody)”. however this information is not shown under ab88746 product page either.



I wonder if this is accurate given that literature reports full length LOXL1 = 63kDa with 574 amino acid sequence.



Can you provide info on the functionality of this peptide? Is it activity reserved? We are interested in ordering this peptide.

I can confirm that ab97928 LOXL1 peptide was used to raise the antibody against LOXL1 (ab87748) and it can be used as blocking peptide with studies using http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=87748. The expected band size of the full length LOXL1 is 65 kDa (predicted size 63 kDa). We have no information if this peptide (it is fragment of LOXL1 - 15 amino acids) has any functional activity since it has not been tested yet.

ab88746 is anti-GABPB2 antibody and it recognizes a different target.
