We are aiming to perform a double immunohistochemistry against eGFP and jRED. Do your anti GFP antibodies (http://www.abcam.com/GFP-antibody-ab290.html, http://www.abcam.com/GFP-antibody-ab13970.html, http://www.abcam.com/GFP-antibody-ab6556.html) cross react with jRED protein? Anti jRED antibody does not cross react with (Evrogen, AB961) with GFP.

I have attached the alignment between the jRED and GFP sequences and based on the sequence homology, I do not think that the jRED antibodies would cross react with GFP and vice versa.

We have not tried any of our GFP antibodies against the jRed protein, so I am unsure if they would react or not. I cannot find the sequence for the jred protein, so I am not able to an alignment between the GFP and jRed and see how much overlap, if any there is.

I am sorry I could not provide more information, but if you happen to have the sequence for jRed, then I would be happy to see if there is a chance they will overlap or not.

Después de hablar contigo, realicé el pedido del anticuerpo Ab290 (adjunto copia). El pedido se realizó el Jueves 26 de Abril y se indicó que debía ser entregado el Viernes 27 de Abril o el Miércoles 2 de Mayo. Sin embargo, el transportista lo llevó a la dirección de entrega el lunes 30 de Abril y no encontró a nadie. El pedido ha sido entregado finalmente hoy Miércoles, pero ha venido a temperatura ambiente. Mi temor es que se haya pasado varios días a temperatura ambiente, con el consiguiente perjuicio para el anticuerpo. Creo que me comentaste que, ante algún problema, se podría pedir otra muestra del anticuerpo. ¿ sería posible en este caso ? Muchas gracias.

Lamento mucho que el paquete recibido no llegara a 4C, sin embargo, el envío del producto en los bloques azules de hielo es solo una medida de precaución, y ésta no es la primera vez que un cliente nos reporta la llegada de los productos a temperatura ambiente, sin que posteriormente haya sufrido algún problema con el mismo.

Para tu tranquilidad, en nuestros laboratorios hemos hecho estudios de estabilidad de los anticuerpos con la temperatura, demostrando que son estables hasta a 45C durante una semana sin que pueda impactar en su actividad. Adjuntos encontrarás los resultados del estudio.

De cualquier manera, si tuvierais algún problema con el anticuerpo, no dudéis en contactarnos inmediatamente y puesto que tiene una garantía de 6 meses, procederemos a su reemplazo o devolución inmediata.
