Target

Function
Inhibits DNA replication by preventing the incorporation of MCM complex into prereplication complex (pre-RC). It is degraded during the mitotic phase of the cell cycle. Its destruction at the metaphase-anaphase transition permits replication in the succeeding cell cycle. -
Sequence similarities
Belongs to the geminin family. -
Developmental stage
Absent during G1 phase, accumulates during S, G2, and M phases, and disappears at the time of the metaphase-anaphase transition. - Information by UniProt

Anti-Geminin antibody (ab229009) at 1/1000 dilution + HCT 116 (Human colorectal carcinoma cell line) whole cell lysate at 30 µg
Predicted band size: 24 kDa12% SDS PAGE
-
Geminin was immunoprecipitated from HCT 116 (human colorectal carcinoma cell line) whole cell extract with 5 μg of ab229009. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab229009. Anti-Rabbit IgG was used as a secondary reagent.
Lane 1: Control IgG instead of ab229009 in HCT 116 whole cell etract.
Lane 2: ab229009 IP in HCT116 whole cell extract. -
