I recommended to use after spin down but,it alreadyoccupied much portion of the vial, he doesn't want to use it because hethinks he lost the volume about what he purchased 500ul of ab6721. Please arrange a replacement vial for our customer. Best regards, |

Thank you for your email. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with these antibodies.
The brown precipitates with HRP conjugated antibodies are very common. We recommend customers to pipette up and down and vortexing the vials which actually helps in dissolving the precipitates. As a final measure we also recommend centrifuging out the precipitates. It is true that it will affect the volume however because the product is at high conc. the effect will not be huge, only few mictolitres will be lost.
Please do not hesitate to use the antibodies in applications as recommended on the datasheet.
Please also note that we recommend storing this product at 4C for 1-2 weeks only, then it should be stored at -20C. The customer have stored the antibody at 4C since December 2011 which actually voids the Abpromise guarantee. Unfortunately replacement vials or refunds cannot be offered. However we are happy to troubleshoot he problem in case these products does not work.
I hope this information will be helpful. Should you have any question please do not hesitate to contact me. |

WB 2nd: 1/5000, 1/7000 high background sees precipitate at bottom trying right now same primary with other secondary suggested to try no-primary crtl to check if problem comes from primary or secondary Ab |
ANSWER: |
|
According to our records, ab6721 or ab109444 was proving difficult to use in WBand we were in contact in order to help resolve the issue. Looking at our correspondence, it appears that we are awaiting more details in order to help us better understand the difficulties experienced.
As we discussed over the phone, trying a no-primary control (with secondary antibody only) would be another way to check if the problem comes from the primary or secondary antibody. Please let me know if thisproblem hasbeenresolved. If not, please let me know as well, so that we can resolve it in a different way (e.g. replacement, credit or refund).
If the requested information has already been sent, it appears that it did not reach our Scientific Support team and we apologize for this inconvenience. In this case we would like to ask for the information again so that we can reach a resolution. If the issue has already been settled, please let us know so that we can be assured that the problem has been solved to your satisfaction and update our records. Iwish you the best of luck with your research and look forward to a reply. |

Inquiry: no signal for dot blot for GFP using primary ab290 (new shipment lot# gr76757-1) when using this secondary - two times. Looking at vial noted significant clump on bottom of the vial of secondary today. When I came to check website for contact info I noted other folks having the same problem (see Apr25,2012 comment, etc). I am disappointed that abcam wouldn't be pro-active regarding this continuing problem, saving us the time and effort to repeat experiments and troubleshoot! I have come to rely on the quality of you products AND service. I have resuspended this secondary and will try again tomorrrow HOWEVER there are significant clumps remaining IN THE MEAN TIME, please respond with your suggestion as to how to proceed - ie replacement of this product if you have a good lot OR suggest another similar (Known to be working properly) anti-Rabbit IgG HRP. I believe it shouldn't be necessary for me to confirm what others have already been confirming about this product. FYI: I have been storing this product at 4C since your site says this is stable at 4C

Thank you for your enquiry.
I am very sorry to hear this vial of ab6721 has caused you so much trouble. I have seen the comment you note that was posted on April 25 2012 and please be assured this is the exception. We have sold many, many vials of ab6721 in just the last few months and received very few negative comments. Nonetheless this does not take away from the regretable situation regarding the vial of ab6721 you have received.
I would be happy to send you a new vial right away from a different lot number. So I can process this request, please forward the Abcam order reference number or PO number associated with this order.
Thanks for this additional information and again I apologize for the trouble. |
