You can expect it to arrive in the middle of next week. This delay is because I have requested for a different lot from your previous order to be sent to you and this is currently not in stock. The new order you have placed is of the same lot as you previously used (GR33978-3). It may be that the issues you experienced were related to the shipping conditions of the problem product, but I would like to err on the safe side and this is why I arranged for the alternative lot to be sent.

One of our clients is experiencing problems with ab9110 Lot.# GR33978. They used it successfully multiple times before this time it didn't give any signal in their experiments.

We would like to know is there are any known problems or alterations with this lot#?

Inquiry: Dear Abcam customer service, Recently we ordered a rabbit-anti-HA antibody from your company – catalogue number ab9110, lot number GR33978-3. It was delivered in a small box at room temperature without any ice or coolant. Subsequently it was tested by two separate researchers in 3 different experimental setting for IPs according to the protocols used with the same antibody in the past and it failed in all experiments to give any signal. Since we use this antibody on regular basis, it hinders us to continue with our research knowing that the reagent that we received doesn’t work properly. As part of the xxxxx we are a loyal customer to your company and we intend to continue using it in the future but since this product is not giving the proper signal/results I would like to inquire about your replacement and reimbursement policies. I would also like to bring to your attention that we just ordered another rabbit-anti-HA antibody with the same catalogue number and hope to receive it in good order at the proper conditions. I am sorry that you found the antibody not delivered in an appropriate way. This antibody should have been delivered with an ice-pack in the box to keep the antibody cool during shipping. Was this not the case?Would you be able to provide me with the order (or purchase order number) so that I can investigate further as to why this was not done? Could you also give me thereference number of the new order you have placed?

Am I correct in thinking that you have used this antibody previously in IPwithout problems? In this case, was the antibody delivered with an ice-pack in the box?

I think I have to try it because I need a antibody from rabbit. I have not found any antibody from rabbit that could be used in WB and eventually in IHC. So I would like to try it.
Or do you have any other Antibody from rabbit that could be usefull for me?

My suggestion would be ab9110 Anti-HA tag antibody - ChIP Grade under this circumstances: it has been used in many publications, and has 20 WB Abreviews and an excellent rating in total. However, most important, it can be used in a lot of different application, which implicates that the antibody is quite "robust" in detecting its target.
