Rabbit polyclonal to HDAC3 (phospho S424)
ab61056 detects endogenous levels of HDAC3 only when phosphorylated at serine 424.
WB, ELISAmore details
Reacts with
Mouse, Human
Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human HDAC3 around the phosphorylation site of serine 424 (KESpDV).
NIH/3T3 cell extract.
Liquid
Store at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C
Preservative: 0.02% Sodium Azide
Constituents: 50% Glycerol, PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), 150mM Sodium chloride, pH 7.4

Immunogen affinity purified
ab61056 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab61056 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
WB: 1/500 - 1/1000. Detects a band of approximately 49 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 49 kDa).
ELISA: 1/5000.
Responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). Histone deacetylation gives a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes. Probably participates in the regulation of transcription through its binding to the zinc-finger transcription factor YY1; increases YY1 repression activity. Required to repress transcription of the POU1F1 transcription factor. Acts as a molecular chaperone for shuttling phosphorylated NR2C1 to PML bodies for sumoylation.
Widely expressed.
Belongs to the histone deacetylase family. HD type 1 subfamily.
Sumoylated in vitro.
