  • Product overview

ab100534 HGF Human ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human HGF in serum, plasma (EDTA and citrate), cell culture supernatants and urine. This assay employs an antibody specific for human HGF coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and HGF present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-human HGF antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of HGF bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Properties

  • FunctionHGF is a potent mitogen for mature parenchymal hepatocyte cells, seems to be an hepatotrophic factor, and acts as growth factor for a broad spectrum of tissues and cell types. It has no detectable protease activity.
  • Involvement in diseaseDefects in HGF are the cause of deafness autosomal recessive type 39 (DFNB39) [MIM:608265]. A form of profound prelingual sensorineural hearing loss. Sensorineural deafness results from damage to the neural receptors of the inner ear, the nerve pathways to the brain, or the area of the brain that receives sound information.
  • Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the peptidase S1 family. Plasminogen subfamily.
    Contains 4 kringle domains.
    Contains 1 PAN domain.
    Contains 1 peptidase S1 domain.

It can't be that the buffer has the same consistency as glycerol! As we do not have separatecomponents, I would like to offer your customer a FOCR instead.

Please let me know if this is acceptable.

Thank you for sending in the data. The standard curve does still contain strong linearity when including the higher concentrated standards, 222.2 pg/ml and 666.7 pg/ml. The highest standard (2000 pg/ml) did give a reading that affects the linearity down t...
