Rabbit polyclonal to HIRA (phospho T555)
ab61095 detects endogenous levels of HIRA only when phosphorylated at threonine 555.
ICC/IF, ELISAmore details
Reacts with
Mouse, Human
Synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human HIRA around the phosphorylation site of threonine 555 (L-T-TP-P-S).
HeLa cells
Liquid
Store at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C
Preservative: 0.02% Sodium Azide
Constituents: 50% Glycerol, PBS, 150mM Sodium chloride, pH 7.4

Immunogen affinity purified
Affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - HIRA (phospho T555) antibody (ab61095)
Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab61095 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
ICC/IF: 1/500 - 1/1000.
ELISA: 1/5000
The HIRA gene encodes a histone chaperone that preferentially places the variant histone H3.3 in nucleosomes. Orthologs of this gene in flies, yeast and plants are necessary for the formation of transcriptionally silent heterochomatin. This gene plays an important role in the formation of the senescence-associated heterochromatin foci. These foci likely mediate the irreversible cell cycle changes that occur in senescent cells. It is considered the primary candidate gene in some haploinsufficiency syndromes such as DiGeorge syndrome, and insufficient production of the gene may disrupt normal embryonic development.
